What is in a name?

Yes, I have been "gone" for a while. I'm planning on being back, but time will tell.

In the meantime, I have been inspired by Spa Lady Duck and Flat Stanley to find  my own travel gnome of sorts. Last weekend I found this little guy (don't ask me how, I just know that this mouse is male) at IKEA and he's been tagging along. I'll share some of the photos in blog posts as I get back into the habit of putting ideas (opinions, adventures, ramblings, blatherings, and other such nonsense) into words.

However, it seems that he needs a  name and, well, I've not found his name yet.

Maybe you can help. Any suggestions?

He has a brown and a black brother (yet at IKEA, but I may need to go get them and set them free to join me) in case you want to name a trio of mice instead of this single rodent.

Let's see... fabulous prizes? Yes, I suppose there should be something. Perhaps you'd like your own mouse friend. Yes, that's it. You could pick your color and everything.

Great...so...use the COMMENT feature and I'll choose something by February 1.

  1. I think he looks like a Murphy. Murphy the Mobile Mouse.

  2. Filbert. Because it's distinctive. Because it's the name of a nut and the plant that produces the nut has cool flowers. AND it's a type of paint brush, so that encompasses your artistic side. Because it was the first unusual name that came to mind. :-)

  3. Are you sure it's not a girl? I really liked Amelia for Amelia Earhart of flying fame, but I guess since she was lost in her plane that wouldn't be too good...

  4. OK...Tumnus...I know he is a Faun and not a mouse, but I still love the name (just finished Lion, Witch and Wardrobe for the "umpteenth" time)

  5. CGMWPW
CUTE GREY MOUSE WITH PINK WHISKERS
    Maybe WHISKAS for short
    or CuGMoP ... Cugmop ...
or Nepomuk, a name in the K. family back in the Mother country... Since Libby was a girl we didn't name her Nepomuk, my choice if she had instead been a boy.

  6. Ike if you only have him. Like Ike from Ikea

and If you get all three Ati, Ari and Port. Shorter version of the 3Musketeers Athos, Aramis and Porthos. And we can all see Ati, Ari, and Port's adventures

  10. Can't think of a name, but I do have the theme song:

    On the Rodent again,
just can't wait to get on the rodent again...

  11. I liked Filbert until I remembered that a friend once had a car named Filbert and it didn't do so well. How about...crud, I'm stuck. Maybe I'll just go along with Filbert. And now I need to find myself a traveling gnome...

  13. I like Filbert too. Then if you get the brown one he can be Chestnut and the black one can be Kluwak (it's a black nut from the kepayang tree found in Malaysia and Indonesia).
